Nenez Performing 'Yui Yui' Live
On Monday, October 13, 2025, from 2:00pm the Okinawan musical performance group Nenez performed live in the 1st Floor stage area at Naha Main Place in Omoromachi, Naha City. The event, titled “Nenez LIVE and Foster Care Awareness” (ネーネーズLIVEと里親制度), combined traditional Okinawan music with a meaningful community message.
The performance aimed to promote awareness of Okinawa’s foster care program (里親制度 / Satooya Seido), highlighting the importance of family and community support for children in need. Between the Nenez' song performances, messages and information about the Okinawa foster care system were shared with the audience.

Originally formed in 1990, the Nenez group is celebrated for their vibrant harmonies and modern interpretations of Okinawan folk and Ryukyuan music. Their live set featured beloved traditional pieces and fan favorites that resonated throughout the shopping center, drawing families and music lovers alike.
